LGBT Young People In Foster Care- Outrising

New York City’s Heart Gallery NYC and adoption agency You Gotta Believe have joined hands to create the PRIDE Exhibit, a powerful photo exhibition highlighting the need for long-term families for LGBTQ youth in foster care.

Living life in and out of foster care can be challenging. An estimated 13,000 young people do so in New York City alone. But for a young person who identifies as LGBTQ, negotiating the system can be even more of a minefield for a multitude of reasons, including being forced out of home and fear of harassment and discrimination.
